Hargrave's Boy Scout Troop 68 is well supported with trained leaders and a faculty and staff offering a range of merit badge opportunities.
Scoutmaster (since 2012): CPT Aaron Book. Responsible for all areas of safety, rank advancement, event planning, and community service for over 30 Hargrave Cadets in BSA Troop 68. Primary emphasis will be recruitment of new Boy Scouts, rank advancement of current Scouts, counseling for Eagle Scout candidates and mentorship of the boy leadership. Hargrave Social Studies Department Chairman; Eagle Scout with Bronze Palm; Order of the Arrow Brotherhood member (Susquehannock Lodge #11); BSA Trained Leader; Recipient of BSA Unit Leader Award of Merit and Scouter’s Key Award.
Assistant Scoutmaster (since 1999): Maj. Bill Leftwich, USMC (Ret.), Hargrave English Department Chairman; Eagle Scout; Order of the Arrow Ordeal member (Tutelo Lodge #161); BSA Trained Leader.
Troop Committee Chairman | Chartered Organization Representative (since 2011): BG Don Broome (USA Ret.), Hargrave President; Eagle Scout; Order of the Arrow Vigil Honor Member (Waguli Lodge #318); Former Assistant Scoutmaster and Troop Committee Chairman Northwest Georgia Council; BSA Trained leader.
Other Staff and Faculty Merit Badge Counselors: Hargrave has approximately 15 faculty and staff and merit badge counselors for 50 Merit Badges.
