Summer Academic Courses

The curriculum for summer school instruction at Hargrave Military Academy provides for 78.75 teacher contact hours of instruction during the twenty-one day program for repeat and half-credit courses.  For full-credit courses, the curriculum provides for 157.50 teacher contact hours of instruction.

Hargrave runs is popular 'How to Study' program during the summer. Students are taught in the SQ3R method and other strategies, which makes for a great opportunity to boost your young man's focus prior to the upcoming academic year. The regular school year Cadets get the same course materials.

Hargrave Military Academy is certified in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Virginia Council of Private Education, the Virginia Association of Independent of Schools, and also the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (ADVANC-ED).
