Press Release for December 10, 2012

SealNorwichHargrave Military Academy and Norwich University of Northfield, Vermont have formed an Enrollment Agreement to the benefit of both institutions and their students. The agreement sets performance standards for Hargrave graduates wishing to pursue higher education with Norwich. For Hargrave Cadets, it provides a clear path to success for achieving college acceptance with Norwich University. For Norwich, it provides the university a potential pool of qualified students/Cadets.

“We are thrilled to see this Agreement come to fruition. It’s the result of a year’s worth of collaboration between our two institutions. The partnership between Hargrave and Norwich provides a tremendous opportunity for Hargrave’s Cadets,” said BG Don Broome (USA, Ret.), Hargrave’s President. “Both institutions have leadership and character development models that track very closely, which would enable a current Hargrave seventh grader to experience a consistent exposure to leadership training, character development and excellent academics until graduation from his senior year at Norwich.  This is a great opportunity for our Cadets.”

Known as America’s oldest private military college, Norwich University boasts both a college military program with a Corps of Cadets and civilian student body. The University offers five colleges, 30 bachelor’s degrees, nine master's degrees, two certificates, a bachelor's degree completion program, plus a teacher licensure program and four ROTC programs.
