Scouting Staff

Scoutmaster (since 2011): CPT Aaron Book at 434-432-2481 x2233. Primary emphasis will be advancement of new scouts, counseling for Eagle Scouts candidates and organization of the boy leadership.

Assistant Scoutmaster (since 1999): Maj. Bill Leftwich, USMC (Ret.), Hargrave English Department Chair; Eagle Scout; Order of the Arrow Ordeal member (Tutelo Lodge #161); BSA Trained Leader.

Assistant Scoutmaster (since 2008): Mrs. Holly Erwin-Harding, MAJ USA (Ret.). Order of the Arrow Brotherhood Member (Netopalis Sipo Schipinachk Lodge #209); Wood Badge Certification; James E. West Fellowship Recipient; Den Leader Award; Webelos Den Leader Award, Cub Scouter Award, Boy Scout Leader's Training Award; District Committee Key Award; Adult Religious Emblem; District Award of Merit; BSA Trained Leader.

Troop Committee Chairman (since 2009): Col. Greg Harding, USA (Ret.), Hargrave Commandant. Eagle Scout with Bronze Palm; Order of the Arrow Vigil Honor Member (Achpateuny Lodge #803); Wood Badge Certification; BSA Trained Leader; Troop Committee Member 2008-2009. Primary duty is the coordination of the Troop Committee and chairing the boards-of-review for advancement of all scouts.

Chartered Organization Representative (since 2011): BG Don Broome, USA (Ret.), Hargrave President; Eagle Scout; Order of the Arrow Vigil Honor Member (Waguli Lodge #318); Former Assistant Scoutmaster and Troop Committee Chairman Northwest Georgia Council; BSA Trained leader.


Other Staff and Faculty Merit Badge Counselors: Hargrave has 33 faculty, staff and parent merit badge counselors for 82 Merit Badges.
