Hargrave Military Academy is a college preparatory secondary boy's military boarding school that espouses Judeo-Christian values. The Academy provides daily structure to parents and young men seeking stronger college acceptance, better grades and improved social performance.

While strong academics remains the main pillar of the Academy's success, the school also embraces the 'Whole Person' concept. The Academy does not stop teaching its Cadets at the classroom door. Life lessons abound at the Academy. They are taught through academics, athletics, the military structure and through Christian values.

'Mens Sana In Corpore Sano' is Hargrave's motto. It means "Strong in Mind" and "Strong in Body." This concept guides the complete development of our students.

Since 1909, Hargrave has cared for the development of young men guided by these concepts. While our campus has grown and evolved, the caring and earnest desire to see young people better themselves remains the same. We do not promise miracles. Rather, Hargrave prides itself on the small, often hard-won achievements found within each graduate.
