Strong character is extremely important and at Hargrave we provide a variety of resources for helping young men to develop a strong character via residential, military and spiritual life, and the classroom. Hagrave focuses on building the character of the whole person.
Through our Colin Powell Center for Leadership and Ethics, CIS students are taught essential life skills for moral behavior, decision-making and dealing with adversity. Through the Residential Life program the military structure teaches cadets self-discipline and the importance of relating positively to others. The Spiritual Life program provides the opportunity for each cadet to grow in their faith. All of these combined create an environment that instills within each cadet the importance of integrity, responsibility, accountability and leadership.
