TROOP 68 IMAGE GALLERY
Hargrave maintains a very
close, active relationship with the Boy Scouts of America
(BSA), a fact shown in the large numbers of Hargrave
Cadets involved in Scouting every Academic year. Hargrave
supports their interest in Scouting by sponsoring BSA
Troop 68.
With Hargrave and the BSA working together, it makes a great match-up for participating Cadets. The core values taught in the Scout Oath and the Scout Law reinforce those values taught at the Academy. Hargrave, therefore, maintains its BSA charter with trained adult leadership on campus.
Troop
68 is capable of supporting both new and experienced
members. Cadets who arrive at Hargrave with no Scouting
experience may enroll as a new Scout. The Cadet must
be at least 12-years old and in the 7th grade.
Hargrave's Troop
68 of the Dan River District, Blue Ridge Mountains
Council is an annual recipient of the Quality Unit
Award. Hargrave participates in District and Council
events as well as other outdoor activities off campus.
Scouts who are registered with a hometown troop may
dual enroll with Troop 68 and their home troop in
order to facilitate participation, leadership experience
and advancement at either location.
