Everyone Loves a Parade

  • The Parade

On the field, the boys form a line of companies. They also perform various actions as ordered by the Battalion Staff.

  • Battalion Commander

The Battalion Commander is the highest ranking cadet.. This position is earned, and it is additional duty to both academics and sports.

  • The Band

No military parade is complete without a band. The Cadet Band takes pride in both their appearance and their music.

  • A Smile?

A military parade is a lot of work and practice, and showing off for Mom is not a bad thing.

  • Leadership on the Field

A Hargrave leader learns how to keep the Cadets under him neat, ready and working as a unit.

The Hargrave Military Parade is a source of pride for Hargrave Corps of Cadets, and this is especially true when parents and families are watching. The military parade is a chance for the Cadets to display leadership, precision and camaraderie.

There are three main military parades presented throughout the year. They are Parent's Weekend in the Fall; Alumni Weekend in the Spring; and Mother's Day Weekend at the end of the school year. Both the Parent's Weekend and Mother's Day Weekend parades feature an opportunity for families, especially the mothers, to pin academic stars (if earned) on their son's military blouse.
