Developing the Whole Person for Success
The development of a strong character is extremely important in a military boarding school. At Hargrave, we provide a variety of resources for helping young men develop a strong character via residential, military, spiritual and the classroom. Hargrave focuses on building the character of the whole person through the military boarding school experience.
Through our Colin Powell Center for Leadership and Ethics, CIS students are taught essential life skills for moral behavior, decision-making and dealing with adversity. Through the Residential Life program the military structure teaches cadets self-discipline and the importance of relating positively to others. The Spiritual Life program provides the opportunity for each cadet to grow in his faith. All of these combined create a military boarding school environment that instills within each cadet the values of integrity, responsibility, accountability and leadership.
